If you’re aged 16 and fancy joining us in September 2017, we’ve currently got just 150 places available, so get your application in asap!

You’ll have the opportunity to take a specialist qualification in Broadcast & Digital Media, awarded by the University of the Arts London, which follows a curriculum written with industry to ensure it’s aligned to careers in media.  You’ll also have the opportunity to take an A-Level alongside your media qualification which will support your specialism and interests.

Classes will be a 60/40 split between practical project work and classroom study. And your vocational learning towards the UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma in Broadcast & Digital Media will earn you UCAS points to take through to University – or the practical skills to head straight into the workplace.

Our aim is to ensure that you leave us as a fully-rounded individual with all the skills your future employers will be looking for. So you can expect exciting real-life learning on live projects covering every aspect of the media alongside more traditional classroom lessons.

Eligibility

  • 150 places in 2017
  • 50% of places will be given to students who live in a 5 mile radius of the school
  • 50% of places will be given to students who live anywhere in the UK
  • Minimum of 5 GSCEs at A*-C
  • Some subjects require an A grade at GCSE

What will I study?

  • Vocational

    You can also opt for purely specialist vocational route:

    • UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma in Broadcast & Digital Media (Creative Media Production & Technology)

     

    With this, you can still earn UCAS points with a pass, merit or distinction - giving you the option to head off to University or take the skills into the workplace.

    The Extended Diploma in Broadcast & Digital Media will give you the following points for each final grade:

    Pass 180 / Merit 280 / Distinction 420

    The Combined course will offer the best of both worlds:

    • UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma in Broadcast & Digital Media (Creative Media Production & Technology) AND
    • 1 A Level from the Academic route -
      • English
