What are Apprenticeships?

Apprenticeships are ideal if you have a clear idea of the career you’d like to pursue, and you’re willing to commit to work and study. Students can undertake an apprenticeship when they finish at Global Academy instead of going to University.  The majority of your learning will be through on-the-job training in your place of work.

This is a great option if you want to specialise in a certain area of the industry after you’ve completed your studies at Global Academy.

There are different types of Apprenticeships that lead to different levels of qualification:

  • Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeships lead to the equivalent of GCSE and vocational qualifications
  • Advanced Apprenticeships lead to Level 3 qualifications, the equivalent of A-Levels
  • Higher and Degree Apprenticeships will see you studying towards Level 4 and above qualifications

Whichever level you start on, you’ll be gaining valuable on-the-job experience alongside recognised learning. Depending on which career route you’re planning to take, choosing an Apprenticeship might just be the best option for you.
