If you or your child would like to receive advice on future careers and plans for after they finish at Global Academy please contact your Form Tutor or Media Mentor in the first instance.

Students can access a range of physical resources and guides via the “Careers Office” in the LRC as well as via Canvas and Unifrog.
Remember to check out the careers notice boards and weekly careers newsletter for apprenticeships, universities, FE opportunities and other information on the ground floor and the second floor.
The National Careers Service
The National Careers Service offers free impartial careers advice to help individuals make informed decisions about their careers, education training and employment opportunities. They offer help and advice on CVs and job interviews, choosing a course, applying for further or higher education, making overseas qualifications count, applying for jobs or deciding on a career direction. They also offer:
• Careers advice
• Assistance with producing a winning CV
• Professional advice on job search techniques
• Advice on filling in application forms
• Interview practice
• Skills diagnosis
• Guidance on voluntary work
Unifrog
Global Academy students have access to Unifrog which is our complete destinations platform that compliments our careers programme. You can create your own electronic profile which allows you to record your career choices, work experience, interactions with employers and use your locker to store important documents. Unifrog brings all the available information into one single, impartial, user-friendly platform that helps you to make the best choices, and submit the strongest applications.
The platform is particularly helpful because it’s the only place students can compare every undergraduate university course in the UK as well as international opportunities. Additionally, the Unifrog platform allows students to access the most comprehensive list of apprenticeships available across the country, including higher and degree apprenticeships.
Once you have explored interests and compared the full range of pathways available to you, Unifrog provides you with a place to save and draft all materials needed for applications such as CVs or Personal Statements.
