Our Year 13’s celebrated their last day at Global Academy with our very own Nipper Awards.

For those who don’t know who Nipper is, he is the old HMV Mascot we have right in our car park on the Old Vinyl Factory. The students and teachers gathered in the Small Lecture Theatre for the last time where students Wiktoria and Noa presented the awards – these included the Funniest Personality, Best Production, Best in Radio, and more.

Principal, Jonty Archibold, then congratulated them on their achievements and successes and wished them the best in their future, and Director of Specialism, JJ, then reminisced about what has happened in the 2 years throughout their time at Global Academy.

Then there was our Leavers Event! Being Global Academy – we don’t do things by halves and we had our very own DJ, Global Academy Themed mocktails – and, as if that wasn’t already enough – special guest Roman Kemp came to congratulate the Sixth Formers on their achievements, successes and wish them the best of luck on the next part of their journey.

We wanted to make this one special as students missed out on year 11 prom and going to LA due to covid and from what the students said we think we did just that.

A special thank you to Roman Kemp for coming down and giving the students a night to remember. We are wishing our students all the best and could not be prouder of the professional, talented individuals you have come to be. #OnlyAtGlobal
