Over the course of the last few weeks, our Year 13 students have been working with various Global teams, to help develop content for our own radio station, Youth Choice.
Set across two separate sessions, we were delighted to welcome Adrian Stewart, Managing Editor – Developing Brands, Nick Davis, Senior Video Producer (Heart), Kavita Masih, Senior Social Media Editor (Heart), Woody Whyte, Managing Editor – Pop Buzz and Tia Owomoyela, Producer/Editor – Popbuzz and former Global Academy student.
Woody Whyte and Tia Owomoyela – Global
The students relished the opportunity of receiving ‘real world’ feedback and advice in a number of specialist areas including; music scheduling for live radio, production techniques and tips for creating content on social media, and also providing an insight to how teams and productions work together to achieve their end goal.
At Global Academy, we are lucky to consistently work with huge industry leading partners like Global to help ensure our students have a fantastic student experience, as well as equipping them with real life industry practices, ensuring we fully help deliver our goal of helping our students to kick start their careers in media.
