Lily Ledworth landed the role Media Coordinator at Premier League Productions after graduating from the Global Academy. Working in Sports TV she often has to coordinate live events and work under pressure in a stadium full of people!

Advice For Students Following in Lily’s Footsteps

Take every opportunity to do as much work experience as possible. When I applied for my job I had more experience than most uni graduates – it wasn’t handed to me I spent all of my school holidays and many weekends working on different TV shows. At first I was just a spare pair of hands but as I did it more and continued to prove myself I started getting runner roles.

Even though it’s not exactly what I’m doing in my role now. When I was at Global Academy, we kept being told it’s so important to have things on your CV – but it’s so much more than that! In my job interview I was able to list over 10 TV shows that I had worked on in previous few months. Without a doubt- it was my work experience that got me to where I am because it showed my hardworking personality and my willingness to learn.
