Muskan added – the interview process was really creative and a chance to work with others:
During my interview – we had to come up with a marketing campaign idea to promote the NBC’s Hit TV Show Superstore. This was my favourite project because we had the opportunity to come up with a creative ideas and work as a team and collaborate together. My group and I came up with marketing idea for social media marketing campaign for superstore. It was super exciting project.
Muskan joined Global Academy as a Year 12 student from Harlington School to develop her passion for digital and creative. She adds:
Global Academy helped me to prepare for my current – the Global Academy course helped me to develop and learn key skills which gave me guidance into how things work in the media industry – whether that’s the production process, post production work or during the important reflection process at the end of project.
For those looking to work in content roles once they leave the Academy. Muskan’s advice is not to put too much pressure on yourself:
My Advice for the students is firstly, don’t put yourself into too much pressure. Try being pro active and whenever an opportunity rises and try to participate or try building network whenever guests from the industry comes to college for events like careers week workshop. Just be yourself. I know it can be nerve racking to put yourself out there all the time . But don’t ever give up in your dreams and ambitions. Finally, believe in yourself. Try giving your 100 % everything you do even while being at the Academy or outside Academy.
