Students Learn How to be an Entrepreneur

Students learn what it takes to be an entrepreneur and set up their own business in the entertainment industry.

Working with Industry

To help prepare for all possible career routes after Global Academy – our final year students have been exploring entrepreneurship and setting up your own business within their weekly Enterprise lessons.

To bring learning to life – we were fortunate to be joined by Adam Muddle, from Profile Talent UK and A2 Productions to give us a real first-hand experience of life in the industry.

Adam’s current role is overseeing the careers of many well known personalities such as AJ and Curtis Pritchard and others from the world of TV and entertainment – as well as producing and curating live entertainment experiences across the UK.

It was brilliant to spend the morning with Global Academy sixth formers – I am always impressed with their focus, attitude and passion for the industry. There are lots of opportunities out there – and being your own business is definitely one I would recommend to anyone at the start of their career. Aim big!

Marketing Yourself

Adam started the virtual session with a small introduction before landing some really useful takeaway tips for students who’re considering their own business.

The session explored in-depth about the importance of having a USP for your business in the marketplace as well as being able to recognise what you’re good at and utilising that to the best of your ability.

Adam spoke candidly to the students about things he had learnt during his time in the industry before answering some questions from the year group about getting that first step, standing out with your approaches and demystifying some of the myths about starting up.
