Last week, Global Academy held the first ever Year 13 Next Steps Fair, a career event designed to help students prepare for life beyond school. The fair featured a variety of industry partners, including Global, who ran CV and Mock Interview Sessions for the students.
These were particularly beneficial for the students, as they provided them with a unique opportunity to receive feedback on their resumes and hone their interview skills. We were also joined by some of our wonderful alumni who took part in a panel discussion, focusing on the theme of ‘What I wish I knew when I was in Year 13’. During lunch, we were joined by other partners including; Envy, Dentsu and Met Film School who took part in a mini-careers fair, where they shared information about their respective fields and provided insights into potential progression paths.
The Year 13 Next Steps Fair was a huge success, and the students found it to be an invaluable experience. It provided them with the necessary tools and information to make informed decisions about their future careers, and they left the event feeling empowered and confident in their abilities. The event was a testament to Global Academy’s commitment to providing its students with the best possible opportunities and helping kick start their career in media.
