Global Academy was a buzz with excitement as students from Years 10 to 12 showcased their immense talents in Dysfunctional The Musical. Written by Year 11 student Harrison Cranfield, this remarkable production captivated audiences and celebrated the creativity of Global Academy’s students.

Global Academy was a buzz with excitement as students from Years 10 to 12 showcased their immense talents in Dysfunctional The Musical. Written by Year 11 student Harrison Cranfield, this remarkable production captivated audiences and celebrated the creativity of Global Academy’s students.

Dysfunctional The Musical saw students from Years 10 to 12 shine in both on-stage and behind-the-scenes roles. From captivating performers to dedicated stage crew members, their collective efforts brought the production to life. The collaboration between passionate teachers and talented students ensured a seamless execution of the show too.  Dysfunctional The Musical was the school’s first-ever school production. Harrison Cranfield’s exceptional writing talent was showcased through this original creation, allowing the students to explore their artistic abilities and express themselves through music and theatre.

The production featured outstanding performances inspired by renowned musicals like Kinky Boots, Dear Evan Hansen, and Green Day The Musical in this unique musical showcase. The fusion of different musical styles created an exhilarating experience for both the performers and the audience which received a standing ovation on the night. The opening night on Saturday, June 3rd, drew a packed-out crowd, highlighting the talent of Global Academy’s students.
