World Radio Day
To celebrate World Radio Day – Luis Wyatt and Sam Fenner in Year 13 have produced a stand out documentary which celebrates the best of the medium.
World Radio Day 2021 is on Saturday 13th February. The celebration is run by UNESCO and more information is available here.
The Lockdown Loop
The short form audio documentary focuses on the power of radio and broadcasting during the pandemic to promote community, tolerance and peace. The episode is part of a series of programmes that our students have worked on under the banner of ‘The Lockdown Loop’ which is a daily podcast series released across all podcasting platforms including Global Player.
Their podcast includes clips from radio professionals and broadcasters across the world including the UK’s BBC Radio 1’s Greg James, Brent Harbor from More FM in Auckland, New Zealand and Jaggu from Suno1024 in Dubai.
The podcast also talked about how radio supports learning in education with new services such as Learn Radio.
