Partnership with Global & Creative Mentor Network

Global Academy has partnered with Global and the Creative Mentor Network to launch our annual mentoring programme with thirty lucky Year 12 students and thirty industry professionals from across the Global business.

We will be working with thirty mentors from across Global’s radio and outdoor business on a one to one basis to develop our students over a sixteen week period. At the end of the programme – students and their mentors will present their work to peers, parents and industry guests in an exclusive showcase event at Global HQ.

The unique programme aims to:

Grow understanding of the creative industry careers landscape
(the jobs available, the routes in, and the skills you need to be qualifie

Build network of professional contacts

Expand student portfolio by working with a mentor on creative projects

Develop other skills (confidence, resilience and self-awareness) that will help students succeed in the industry

This year our students will work virtually with our mentors this year between November and March.

This is just an example of one of the many exciting projects that take place with our students with our industry partners as part of our rich and varied careers programme.

Working with Creative Mentor Network

We are delighted to work with the Creative Mentor Network for the third year in a row and their unique Mentor Development Programme.

The Creative Mentor Network focuses on the next generation of diverse entry-level talent. They train Global employees in coaching and creating an inclusive culture, so they can upskill and retain employees to work with our students in preparing them for a career in the creative industry.

Creative Mentor Network work with a wide variety of industry partners as well as Global including Google, Facebook, Paramount and Sony Pictures.
