One of our favourite time of the year, is launching the Aim High Apprenticeship Programme. Designed exclusively for Year 13 graduates, this opportunity gives our students the first step working in the industry.

At Global Academy it is our mission to turn young people into the creatives that the industry needs. Through these apprenticeships, students have the opportunity to decide which departments within Global, is the best fit for them. They’ll gain hands-on experience and invaluable insights into their chosen field.

The launch of the apprenticeships meant the Academy filled up with industry professionals, department managers, and current apprentices, creating an immersive experience for students eager to kickstart their careers. Colleagues from each department illuminated the day-to-day responsibilities and challenges, providing a glimpse into the vibrant atmosphere of life at Global.

What sets Global’s apprenticeships apart is the immersive learning experience tailored to individual interests and aspirations. Whether one’s passion lies in video production, marketing, or producing, there’s a dedicated apprenticeship waiting to be embraced.

Perhaps the most inspiring aspect of the event was the presence of Alumni who are now on the apprenticeships. Less than a year ago, they roamed the halls of Global Academy as students, and now they stand as integral members of some of the UK’s most prominent radio brands, all thanks to Global and the Aim High apprenticeship programme.

Students seized the opportunity to connect with industry professionals, ask burning questions, and gain valuable insights into life on the apprenticeships and how the interview process will take place.

With its emphasis on practical learning and real-world exposure, Global’s apprenticeship scheme equips graduates with the skills and confidence to thrive in the competitive media industry. By bridging the gap between education and employment, Global Academy is redefining the traditional career trajectory and empowering young minds to realise their full potential.
