Creative Brilliance: Media Business and Digital Design Pitches

Media Business and Digital Design students from Global Academy recently pitched innovative ideas in response to briefs from Omnicom Media Group and Global’s marketing team, showcasing their creativity and problem-solving skills.

Global Academy students recently had the opportunity to apply their skills and creativity in real-world scenarios, presenting pitches to industry leaders. Two groups attended – Media Business and Digital Design – the students tackled distinct challenges.

The Media Business group delved into a brief from Omnicom Media Group and their OmniGov team, focusing on the Young People’s Futures (YPF) programme. The objective was clear: support young people in England to make informed choices about their future and contribute to the Department for Education’s goal of leveling up the country through improved skills and employment. The students, armed with creativity, brainstormed ideas to promote the “Get the Jump” campaign, aiming to raise awareness about various education and training pathways available to young adults. The students came up with fantastic ideas and received invaluable feedback from Omnicom Media professionals, enhancing their understanding of real-world marketing challenges.

On the Digital Design front, the challenge was to reimagine a Global radio station to appeal to a broader demographic. Armed with illustration and animation skills, the students explored the current brand identity and target audience of the radio station. They then flipped the narrative, creating innovative advertisements and animations that breathed new life into the brand. The interaction with Global’s marketing team allowed the students to gain insights into the intricacies of brand imaging and audience engagement.
