Visiting a World-Leading Provider of Broadcast

In a move to prepare students for the evolving demands of the broadcasting industry, we will be introducing T Levels into ours curriculum from September. These two-year courses, equivalent to three A Levels, combine classroom learning with practical experience, ensuring students are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in their chosen fields.

Recently, our Technical Broadcast students had the opportunity to delve deep into the world of T Levels with a visit to AE Live in Hertfordshire. AE Live, renowned as a world-leading provider of broadcast solutions to global sports governing bodies, broadcasters, and production companies, opened its doors to our Year 12 Tech class. They were greeted by industry experts who shared tips and tricks, advice, and a behind-the-scenes tour of their cutting-edge facilities.

During their visit, students were immersed in the daily operations of AE Live, witnessing firsthand the intricacies of broadcast solutions in action. From live event coverage to studio production, they gained invaluable insights into the inner workings of the industry. Additionally, AE Live professionals shared their personal experiences and offered guidance on the skills and attributes needed to succeed in this dynamic industry.

One of the highlights of the visit was the opportunity for students to engage directly with industry professionals, asking questions and seeking advice on their career aspirations. This interactive session allowed students to gain a deeper understanding of the various roles within the broadcasting sector and the pathways to achieving their goals.

The hands-on experience and exposure to real-life scenarios reinforced the students commitment to pursuing a career in this exciting industry. As one student remarked, “It was eye-opening to see how everything comes together behind the scenes. I feel more inspired and determined to pursue my dreams.”

The skills sessions offered in our NEW T Level Pathways are designed to complement traditional classroom learning, providing students with practical experiences that are directly relevant to their chosen career paths. By collaborating with industry partners like AE Live, students gain a competitive edge and a deeper appreciation for the complexities of their chosen field.

Looking ahead, the integration of T Levels into Global Academy’s curriculum signifies a progressive approach to education, aligning with the evolving needs of the broadcasting industry. With T Levels set to become a mandatory part of the educational landscape, students are well-positioned to embrace the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead.

In conclusion, Global Academy’s Technical Broadcast students are embracing T Levels with enthusiasm and determination. Through immersive skills sessions and industry visits, they’re gaining valuable insights and practical experiences that will set them on the path to success in the dynamic world of broadcast media. As they prepare to embark on their T Level pathways this September, they do so with confidence and excitement, ready to make their mark in the industry.
