Global Academy Empowers Year 10 Students to Unleash Creativity in Brand Experience Workshop

Year 10 students develop captivating brand experiences and explore potential career paths in advertising.

Recently, Year 10 students participated in an immersive workshop in partnership with OnePointFive – Brand Experience Agency and Ideas Foundation, where they delved into the world of brand experiences and tackled a live client brief for Pantene. Global Academy continues to provide students with extraordinary opportunities to explore various industries and unleash their creativity.

The workshop began with an introduction to OnePointFive, offering students a glimpse into the dynamic events industry. They learned about the significance of brand experiences and how they can captivate audiences and leave a lasting impact. Through an example brief and an in-depth exploration of the creative process, students gained valuable insights into the world of advertising.

Next, the students were divided into small groups and began working on an industry-standard pitch alongside volunteers from OnePointFive and Ideas Foundation. This collaborative effort involved creating and naming their own agency, conducting audience and competitor research, selecting event types and locations, and researching suitable venues. They had to craft a compelling name for the branded experience, develop a mood board, and even design a floor plan. The students also learned the importance of preparing a comprehensive plan for social media, budgeting, and ensuring safety.

The workshop culminated in a thrilling pitch session, where students presented their responses to their peers and an industry panel. Armed with the presentations they had created during the workshop, the students showcased their creative ideas and strategies. The most outstanding groups in each form were rewarded with Amazon vouchers, acknowledging their impressive efforts.

The impact of the workshop was evident as students reflected on their experiences. Ophelios Jordan, a Year 10 student, expressed enthusiasm for the teamwork and the opportunity to develop a fully-fledged idea. The workshop ignited a passion for advertising as a potential future career. Morgan Husbands, another Year 10 student, relished the creative freedom provided by the brand experience project, allowing them to create something truly remarkable.
