About the Course
Edexcel GCSE Computer Science is a comprehensive educational program designed to equip students with essential digital skills. Developed by Pearson, it offers a rigorous curriculum that covers a wide range of computer science topics.

What I will study / do during the course?
The curriculum includes programming, algorithms, data representation, computer hardware and software, networks, cybersecurity, and ethical considerations in computing.
Students gain practical programming experience in languages like Python, fostering problem-solving skills and creativity. They also delve into theoretical foundations, such as data structures and computational thinking. Students will be assessed in 2 parts: Paper 1 is a written exam and Paper 2 is a computer based assessment of students’ application of computer science.
The Current Year 11 (2022-24) are on OCR J277 GCSE Computer Science syllabus which follows majority of the Pearson Edexcel GCSE Computer Science curriculum.
